Preschool & Daycare @ Bukit Jalil

MZ stopped his school in The Montessori Place in March, because we were expected to leave the country by end March. After that he was at home for weeks, and I decided him to enrol him in a short term programme, when I found he was lost being at home. His lost his usual routine, spent most of the time watching TV and kept asking me "Mom, where are we going today?" (Sometimes I brought him for my work appointments)

Kidz Care's programme schedule

I've found this child care nearby my place called Kidz@Work. They offer mostly art & craft classes, from cooking, dancing, Da Vinci Art & Craft, speech & drama to party planning.  The fees they offer is very standard as compare to other child care, but with the activities included, definitely it is a plus for them. As I have enrolled MZ for only half a day, I am being charged RM550/month. For a full day Kidz Care, they are charging RM850/month.

Many asked me since there's only RM300 different, why not full day? Mainly because the class started 8.30am, my area is ridiculous jam at that hour, even only a short distance of 4.8km away, it probably takes me 1 hour to arrive, whereas I should be arrived within 10 mins if without jam. Hence, I usual will depart from home after 9.30am. That's why I've decided to send him for half day.

As yet, teachers are friendly. I didn't spend much time hanging around with his friends there, so I wouldn't know whether the friends are friendly. But, he did tell me his friends were playing with him, so I assume is fine. As per environment, I would say moderate, never really got a chance to visit from head to toes, but overall is ok. Kids are brining their own bedsheets and pillows.

If you ask me, this programme is very suitable for kids after school programme, as they covered dancing, cooking, speech & drama and art & craft. For a preschooler, kids will still need to expose themselves in learning phonics, alphabets, numbers and etc, that I will still prefer MZ's old school - The Montessori Place. There is also another thing I would consider when choosing kids' school, which is the environmental factor. Kidz@Work is located at the first and second floor of the shop lots, kids won't have chance to run around and expose to outdoor. Though is a modern trend, but I still prefer kids to have more outdoor activities.

Do check both preschool & daycare at the following address to find out more.
