Never thought it is so hard to couching a child on learning to recognise numbers.... Argh..... I wish I have more patience. As I always tell others, I admire those playgroup leaders who lead toddlers. It might seems easy (some say kids learn thing very fast, and some say kids' brain is empty, they absorb what you fill them), but it was not.
I followed MZ's class when he started enrolled his playgroup years ago. The playgroup leader was guiding the tots to scoop the beans with a spoon from a bowl to another. I saw a toddler fell asleep in the class, and a toddler use hand to pick the bean and put in his mouth, and another toddler messed around with beans. I seriously don't think I could sit at her position and watch these kids. I'll probably take away the beans and let them colour or painting.
Whereas, now I hope I could have more patience for my kids, I'll still need to go thru the stage with him. Wish me luck that I could find a best way to help him recognise the numbers --- OMG! ABC is waiting too...
